Didn’t the afd get double the votes they did in the previous election, making them the second largest party?
Doesn’t really make sense. German elections don’t work like FPTP systems, where small changes in voting cause large changes in parliament or policy.
How is this satisfying. They didn’t win, they’re just the second largest party?
Do you know how many elections the Nazis lost yet steadily increased their seat count? This was a landmark victory. One look at MAGA/MEGA X and you’ll see they’re not crying, they’re ecstatic. Afd isn’t some dead in the water party anymore. They’re relevant and one solid election showing away from winning.
why would russian and american cares about german elections genuine question
I feel like “at least the nazis didn’t get enough votes to dissolve the EU” is a pretty low bar for success
We can pat ourselves in the back when the literal successors of n*zis go back to being nothing but a fringe party.
I mean, unless the CDU actually makes some meaningful difference in regards to policies, especially imm, then next election the AfD are probably gonna win. They’re the second biggest party, and I bet you anything that at least a few people considered voting for them before deciding against it. I’d argue this election has done good for them. Massive win, second biggest party, and now they have roughly 4 years to rethink their strategy and see where they went wrong in their campaign.
Weird how people are coping with the election results.
Biggest win ever for the AfD, failed coalition CxU/SPD is about to happen again.
Redditors:
“Ha, Maga/Russia lost this!”
“Elon prevented AfD from getting 30%!”
“The Left basicaly won 8,7%!”
No. This is not good at all.
Cry with happiness? because they seem to think it was a great result
AFD and Die Linke are very strong. Russia is surely happy to see this.

German elections, too complicated for my brain
Mec, it’s NOT satisfying at all
2 things:
1. They become 2nd large party, biggest than ever, they ain’t crying
2. People like you rejoice because they didn’t win event they become stronger, and don’t do anything to find out why far right become popular
Combined those 2 points, they will continue to grow up and then, out turn to cry, and for real this time
AfD did pretty good actually, though I would’ve hoped they did even better. My guess is however the right will take a hit by Trump being quite literally the worst possible representative of what their side of politics can offer, but then again it is the yanks so I’m not too surprised.
I’m convinced that Elon’s explicit endorsement of the AFD did them more harm than good.
Yea bro, they’re only 1 out of every 5 people haha.
everything is ok haha.
they only doubled their votes haha.
love me some tears haha.
the problem surely won’t get worst haha.
Double the votes as 2021, if they don’t address those main voter concerns it will be even more in 2029. Small win now, but hopefully they figure their shit out for the long term.
I don’t know why but I think this meme will age very bad
