Submission state (by OP or someone else en lieu to save the post) is needed per Rule 2
**Submission Statement**
The Trump Administration is sketching out additional restrictions to add to Biden’s proposed chip export controls over China. These include further restricting the amount of computing power that can be exported without licenses, intensifying restrictions on SMIC, and blocking Changxin Memory Technologies from buying American tech. Notably, the Trump administration will also carry out and even strengthen the Biden administration’s AI Diffusion rule proposed at the end of his administration, which categorizes foreign countries into 3 separate tiers of countries with varying levels of chip export restrictions.

China is building decent graphics cards now. Its no way comparable to Nvidea or AMD but still they are close to self sufficiency.
