Jon Stewart slices open his hand on The Daily Show: ‘I’ll be going to the hospital’

The companies we subsidize with billions of dollars are allowing us the privilege of negotiating the price of 10 of their drugs,” Stewart said sarcastically. “And 10 is all of them, right? It would be embarrassing if it was a small drop in the bucket and that the American people didn’t expect that we should negotiate for all their f—ing drugs! Because we’ve already paid for ’em with our subsidies!”

   > He slammed his coffee mug down and the audience seemed to pick up on the fact something had gone wrong, but they cheered. Stewart then looked down at his hand to inspect it, smiled, and jovially said, “I’ll be going to the hospital soon.”

3. If I had a dollar for every time Jon sliced his hand open during a show, I’d have exactly $2.00.

   Which isn’t a whole lot, but it’s still weird that it happened twice.

17. I was watching and man if he didn’t just continue through the show and interview. Cut myself a fair amount working outside and that would have driven me a little nuts to not take a sec and see what damage I’d just done lol he’s a trooper
