  1. > “Ooh, can it be? The companies we subsidize with billions of dollars are allowing us the privilege of negotiating the price of 10 of their drugs,” Stewart said sarcastically. “And 10 is all of them, right? It would be embarrassing if it was a small drop in the bucket and that the American people didn’t expect that we should negotiate for all their f—ing drugs! Because we’ve already paid for ’em with our subsidies!”

    > He slammed his coffee mug down and the audience seemed to pick up on the fact something had gone wrong, but they cheered. Stewart then looked down at his hand to inspect it, smiled, and jovially said, “I’ll be going to the hospital soon.”

  2. If I had a dollar for every time Jon sliced his hand open during a show, I’d have exactly $2.00.

Which isn’t a whole lot, but it’s still weird that it happened twice.

  3. Good on him, but the show still ain’t what it used to be. Jon didn’t change, the times did.

  4. Reminds me of Gene Wilder in “Young Frankenstein”, giving a passionate speech and not realizing he just stabbed himself in the thigh with a scalpel.

  5. *Rants about healthcare*
*Goes to a hospital and has no problem paying his bills*

These people are not like us.

  6. Incredible segment! His point that we need to take subsidies away from giant corporations is what we need to keep expressing.

  7. I was watching and man if he didn’t just continue through the show and interview. Cut myself a fair amount working outside and that would have driven me a little nuts to not take a sec and see what damage I’d just done lol he’s a trooper

  8. Reminds me of this question:

    >If we found out reincarnation was real and had a way to verifiably track who a reincarnated person was in a previous life, how long would it take for companies to make sure you inherited debt from your previous lives?
