Louisiana singer-songwriter Laine Hardy is officially a dad.
Hardy, 24, and his fiancée Jordan Gautreau, 28, welcomed Hollis James Hardy at 1:23 a.m. on Friday. The baby boy weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces, and measured 19.9 inches long.
“Welcome to the world Hollis James Hardy! We are over the moon about this little boy. An absolute gift from God. Let the adventure begin!” former “American Idol” winner Hardy posted to Facebook on Monday.

An accompanying photo shows the infant swaddled in an animal- and tree-printed blanket. A brown stuffed bear was nestled in his hospital bassinet. Another photo has the beaming parents standing over their new addition.
In September, the couple took to Instagram to reveal they were engaged and expecting a baby boy.
“The secret is out … I’m having his babyyyy,” Gautreau posted. “We are so excited for this chapter of our lives. Looking forward to God’s plan for us.”
Gautreau described Hardy’s proposal as “The biggest surprise and the easiest YES! Can’t wait for our new title as parents and to plan a wedding.”
She closed the post with #partywiththehardys, a hashtag that revises the one Hardy fans originated (#partywithahardy) as the singer competed in Season 17 of “Idol,” the ABC singing competition series, eventually becoming Louisiana’s first and only “Idol” winner.
Gautreau is a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University and works as an executive project analyst for the Louisiana Department of Health, specifically within the office of Medicaid, according to her LinkedIn page. She is a member of the New Orleans Saints Cheer Krewe and is a former dancer for the New Orleans Pelicans.
Hardy dropped a new single, “Back of My Mind” in January. He’ll be performing at the 50th annual Louisiana Crawfish Festival in Chalmette on March 21. Tickets are $20.
“It sounds like we need to get him an official Crawfish Festival Onesie to wear while dad is performing,” the festival posted on social media Monday.
