I finally know a tiny bit how black men feel when minding their own business and people are randomly threatened by their presence. As an OWG who lives in a reddish area, people probably assume I’m a fascist asshole.
They can’t spew their BS around their families. Especially their younger and likely more liberal kids. So they have to do it away from the home. In secret.
You would think it would cause some self-awareness that would make them realize that what they’re saying may not be right to say. But these are the same people who swore covid masks were suffocating them to death just to mask up at their Nazi marches.
The MAGA guy who kept responding to the comments my comment on the NYT post on insta looks like one of these.

Why is it that people that trespass on other people’s freedoms and pull fascist crap think of themselves as soooo American? That’s not any American thing I ever heard of before Trump.
Recently I’ve noticed a strange phenomenon when I’m flipping through Facebook reels (sure, a bad habit) of TV/movie clips. Some people in the comments cannot seem to differentiate an actor from a character they play, such as if the actor is gay and the character is not. For example Neil Patrick Harris/Barney Stinson.
They are highly distressed over this disparity between actor and character they portray, and feel the need to announce to the world something like: “HOW COULD HE BE KISSING A WOMAN HES GAY”
They almost always look like this.
