Covid: Morrisons shopper run over for not wearing face mask

  1. “Shopper Stephen Callaghan was headbutted and run down by another man as he left a petrol station.
Mr Callaghan, who is exempt from wearing a Covid face mask, was attacked by Darren Smith at Morrisons in Caerphilly last October.
Smith “took exception” to Mr Callaghan’s lack of a mask and a confrontation followed.
Smith then left the store and got into his car before knocking down Mr Callaghan as he crossed the forecourt.
Smith was jailed for nine months and banned from driving for two years at Cardiff Crown Court.”

  2. People really need to find a balance when it comes to this sort of shit. Even if the dude wasn’t exempt you’re absolutely fucked in the head if you think that’s a reasonable response.

  3. TBF the guy who did this act looks a right villain probably guilty of much more serious offences than failing to wear a mask. Second previousc comments that this should be treat as attempted murder

  4. It might have been the umpteenth anti-masker they came across that day acting all smarmy because they down-loaded a ‘covid exemption card printable’ from the internet.

Of course it is not a good enough reason to attempt to murder the anti-maskers…

  5. I’ve seen maybe 5 people all day wearing masks, out of passing by hundreds of people. So this guy is going to need a bigger car with a higher bonnet to make this work.
