I dont get it is it referencing (rompetroll – baby frogs) ore is it referencing somting else?
Ass troll er vel strengt tatt rasstroll, rævtroll.
Yeah, and I remember seeing that (I think it was Norway, or maybe Scandinavia in general) they refer to the game duck, duck, goose as “anka, anka, grå anka,” or “duck, duck, gray duck,” which carried over to Minnesota
It would be a much more accurate translation if it was translated to “butt troll” rather than “ass troll”. “Ass troll” is more like calling it “rævtroll” in Norwegian.
It is more like but troll
It is indeed, lots of stuff is not pronounced as written, i find it extremely difficult to learn/keep track of
Looks more like a butt troll than a slight rod..
All languages are weird in something.
As an Aussie learning several languages, I find Danish more difficult. My tutor says “Oh, you read beautiful Danish! With a Norwegian accent.” LAwwwwwll
That’s only if you directly translate each word inside of the word 😉
Speedbump in Norwegian😳
English: Squid
Norwegian: 🙂
English: not again…
Norwegian: Ink squirt!!
EDIT: made more accurate!
My favourite is still hedgehog = Pinnsvin = stick pig.
Øyestikker
å nei(oh no)! sometimes norsk(Norwegian) really is a weird language sometimes

[This article](https://minnesota.cbslocal.com/2017/10/10/minnesota-duck-duck-gray-duck/) goes more in depth about the game’s name difference between Minnesota and the rest of the States
