It’s probably been disconnected from the appliance that it was originally used for but a spark basically said it’s not his job to remove it and then have to plaster a wall
If you’ve turned it on and nothing happens then it should be all ok but if not, oh sweet Jesus
It is the fuse holder
It’s a fused spare, usually wired to heaters, fridges, washing machines, things where it’s too awkward to get to the actual plug.
Might be an isolator switch for a shower. You often find them randomly.
Fierce confusing so it is.
I refuse.
It’s a fuse dispenser for sparks, like the old pez ones kids used to get. But they’re obsolete these days unfortunately
Is this near your heating controls?
Switched fuse connection unit
Hold it in for 5 seconds and you will reset the house
Filthy
Its a dirty one for sure
I think you may be con fused
What’s beside it to the right
If you open the fused switch and there is no wire leaving only one in then your good to disconnect it
Its a switched spur. If everything around its working then push it back in and leave it, don’t try put a fuse in because you don’t know what your making live or where the cables going to.
That’s a fused spur. It’s a safety feature for isolating high voltage appliances. Yano the big red switch over the kitchen counter for the oven? Same thing.
