Croatia Airlines connects Hamburg with the Croatian capital three times a week

From July 1, 2025, Croatia Airlines, Croatia’s national airline, will expand its route network to include a direct connection from Hamburg to Zagreb. Flights to the Croatian capital will be operated three times a week – Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays – with an Airbus A220. The flight duration is approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.

For travelers from northern Germany, the new connection offers an attractive opportunity to explore Zagreb and its surroundings. Croatia’s largest city is known for its rich history, lively cultural scene and diverse sights. With the new airline, Hamburg Airport is expanding its range of destinations in southeastern Europe. In addition to Zagreb, other Croatian cities such as Dubrovnik, Split and Zadar are already served from Hamburg.

Croatia Airlines is the national airline of Croatia, based in Zagreb. It was founded in 1989 and is a member of the Star Alliance. The fleet currently comprises 13 aircraft, including Airbus A319, Airbus A320 and Dash 8-Q400. With the addition of the Hamburg-Zagreb route, Croatia Airlines is further expanding its route network and now serves a total of 30 destinations in Europe.

Hamburg Airport is the fifth largest airport in Germany and handles around 17 million passengers annually. It is an important transport hub for northern Germany and offers connections to numerous national and international destinations.
