Sing in – Orange Slovakia πŸ™ˆ Why English is barely used anywhere in Slovakia? It’s a nightmare for foreigners. We want to love this country, but not sure what the country wants πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

  1. Just sing. It should be some Slovak song btw. Otherwise Orange will not like it and will not let you in.

  2. I think plder generation was taught russian and because of that many do not speak english. Maybe thats why not english everywhere?

  3. i remember when i worked as a barista at the mall,

and there was this couple that came to me visibly exhausted asking about how to find the parking lot, the guy was like hello friend do you speak english and i was like of course! He laughed and was like “not very of course around here my friend”

Also he looked kinda like Ron Perlman

  4. This guy has to be from England to be such an arrogant bastard. Not everybody knows english, who cares if something is misspelled, there is google translate. Plenty of people knew english when I visited Slovakia, so I don’t know wtf he’s talking about. When you’re foreign you should respect the country you’re visiting/living in.

  5. Not sure why people here are becoming so defensive. Sooner or later our country will suffer due to unwelcoming nature to foreigners and immigrants. With a GF that is not from europe, i face the same issue – slovakia is just not the best option.

Our country is not really something foreigners will choose and we suffer significant brain drain. Just by applying simple math, there will not be enough economic power to support our boomers generation. All the stories shared by OP are believable to me and instead for questioning them, we should take them as serious feedback. It is just a simple fact – either you become more friendly to immigrants or you risk becoming irrelevant as a country.
