WASHINGTON (7News) — An annual tradition called the “Easter Egg Roll” will happen at the White House on Monday, April 21, 2025. On the South Lawn, there will be many exciting activities such as games, live entertainment and of course, the egg roll.

The Easter Egg Roll first began in 1878 under the Rutherford B. Hayes presidency, according to the White House. The event is normally organized by the first lady, which will be First Lady Melania Trump this year.
Tickets for the White House Easter Egg roll are free and will soon be available through an online lottery at Recreation.Gov.
You will need to create an account, choose from the list of times and enter the number of adults/children on the ticket request.
People who are interested can also choose multiple time slots. There must be at least one child (12 and under) and one adult to apply.
There can only be to adults for an application and there is a maximum of six tickets, the White House said.
