DeKalb Co. man charged after repeatedly calling 911, threatening officers(WIFR)
Around 10 p.m. Feb. 26, deputies were informed of a man misusing the 911 line by repeatedly calling with no emergency and threatening law enforcement while on the phone.
Residents in the area near the 500 block of E. Van Buren Street also reported a man knocking on their doors and requesting to use their phones.
The DeKalb County State’s Attorney’s Office approved a charge of felony disorderly conduct, and deputies went to find Makarall. They say he threatened them if they got close to him and they learned that he had a knife.
While reportedly making threats, Makarrall tried to go into a convenience store where he was ultimately arrested.
Makarrall was taken to the DeKalb County Jail pending the outcome of a detention hearing.
