  21. Trump has a proper throb on for the monarchy, right now if the King gives his little balls a tickle we are good and will escape from some of the insanity he is dishing out. That’s why we have kings, this is their job.

  25. I was pissed off about the brown nosing but then someone commented on Twitter that this is a baller move that had Mandelsons fingerprints all over it. Big showpiece presentation from a King + fuss about unprecedented move = absolute calculated play to Trumps ego. Do it in public and he can’t help himself. They even pushed for the answer where he couldn’t wriggle or think fast enough to negotiate. Starmer lawyer special move.

    In PR terms makes him grandstand about ‘his’ win and the relationship when he starts freestyling, so his mob hear positives from the Tangerine tyrant, makes it easier to wash any concessions he makes to us as acceptable.

    In talks it puts Starmer in ‘positive feelings’ camp in Trumps brain (I use the term loosely) and Trump is totally victim of recency bias, whoever toadied most recently has his ear.

    They pointed out the Ukraine ‘deal’ for the Rare Earth Elements has enough to be spun as a Trump ego win but the actual legal stuff is a vague agreement to a future deal but this one requires any deal is backed by the security guarantees otherwise no further obligations from Ukraine

    Small hopes but it does look like the world leaders other than Putin are learning how to manipulate Trump and play his game publicly whilst cutting off his wriggle angles with how they play.
