21. I am an American and I feel strongly about protecting Canada from my own country. I want to protest but don’t know quite how to say, succinctly, how I feel. It’s too soon for “FREE CANADA”, and “Canada should remain independent” doesn’t have the simple punch a protest sign needs.

    A great quote from that time period is that it would be a “stupendous folly and enormous crime” for the two nations to declare war over the Pacific Northwest.

    Hopefully the White House hasn’t forgotten that Canada is still tied symbolically to the British Monarchy, so getting into a war with Canada is almost certainly getting into a war with the United Kingdom, but also all of NATO, since both Canada and the UK are NATO members.
