  16. People need to stop creating boogeymen and realize this isn’t the fault of any politician. This is a problem that’s been festering for a long time now. The blame lies in the ignorance of conservatives and anti-vax hippies who have actively chosen to shield themselves from information incompatible with their beliefs. They choose to live in a magical world in their head, while reality happens around them.

    Religion is the disease. Whether that’s mysticism or whether that’s belief in any invisible sky-daddy of your choosing. People who reject science, logic and reasoning and live in a fantasy world are the cancer our species has never been able to cut out.

    RFK didn’t do that. He’s a symptom of it. The anti-vax mystics and the anti-vax bible thumpers – they’re ignorant by choice, because they refuse to confront the cognitive dissonance of their entire world view being based on lies.

    Nothing’s going to change that, they’re entrenched. The problem is not the politician, it’s the people who elected them. The politician is who they chose, because he says what they want, and what they want is to continue living in their fantasy, while tearing down those who challenge it.

  21. Imagine the scene, RFK and Kim Schrier are both in a press conference and a man collapses to the floor having a seizure. All cameras point to RFK since he’s the Secretary of Health. He freezes like a deer in headlights while Schrier jumps into action to save the person’s life. RFK later says “The man had recently gotten a flu shot and we are investigating the pharmacy that administered it.” This makes all the headlines, while Schrier’s heroic deed is quickly forgotten.

    This is the world we’re living in right now.

    1/4 will be hospitalised

    1/500 dies normally directly from the disease

    1/10 000 becomes permanent deaf And between 1/10 000 — 1/300 000 lead to Subacute sclerosing panencephalitis – that will kill you but a few years later that’s why the numbers are so wide.

    Then a couple will get encephalitis

    This is absolutely AntiVax fault but the head of CDC is actively saying things like this happens yes it will happen.

    And in US the amount of children needing emergency care will drain a lot of families wealth …..

    Remember only 96% of the shots are effective and 1-2% can’t vaccinate due to underlying sickness. Every able body should vaccinate Uncle Sam need that!
