  3. You might as well be talking to the wall as talking to old Deranged Donnie — he lives in his own fantasy world where everyone’s an enemy / foe and trade can only be about screwing someone over.

    He seems to see the world as a zero sum game where there’s a winner and a loser, so for him to win in a “deal” he has to undermine or screw over whoever he’s trading with.

    He’s discovered over the last 10 years that if you keep saying something enough on social media and enough people repeat it, it gets accepted by a significant % of the population as fact, so he just keeps doing that. He basically just invents his own narratives and his own truths that are entirely made up.

    Fact checking him is important but it’s like trying to fact check a football stadium chanting — they neither listen nor care.

  14. Man you would think Donald Tusk would be the most pro-Trump leader in the EU top echelon given how pro USA Poland is but even him has to call Trump’s bullshit and not even mincing words too. It’s cathartic to see this much backbone.

  17. The EU was formed to screw Nazi’s. The goal was to make wear between member states practically impossible, and this create a lasting peace in Europe. The only people screwed over by the EU’s existence are fascists like Putin, Trump and most far right parties in Europe, because it makes conflict in Europe harder.

  22. I thought NATO was to maintain peace? Wouldn’t NATO be redundant if the E.U. is already maintaining peace? Just a curious observation.

    Also how is it that the European Union is meant to strengthen relationships with nations in another continent across an ocean? Wouldn’t Europe want to form a “Transatlantic Union” if that was the case? A pseudo-supranationalist bloc with a non-democratically elected leader surely isn’t as good for relations with sovereign nations as leaders with democratic legitimacy and sovereignty.
