Producer prices in Slovenia dropped by 0.8% year-on-year in January 2025, slipping further from a 0.2% fall in the previous month.

This the thirteenth consecutive month of declining producer prices and the steepest since October 2024, as prices decreased at a faster pace for manufacturing (-0.6% vs -0.3% in December).

Moreover, costs tumbled for electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply (-7.1% vs 1.8%).

On the other hand, producer inflation increased further for water supply (3.8% vs 3.3%), while it remained steady for mining and quarrying (-0.3%) for three consecutive months.

On a monthly basis, producer prices fell by 0.5%, following a 0.1% gain in the preceding period.
