4. If this actually happens, it will be a massive L to Russia.

   Their whole reason for going into Ukraine was to keep NATO off their doorstep. If they end up with a coalition of foreign “peacekeepers” in Ukraine, they will have accomplished the exact opposite.

   I really hope Ukraine can at the very least, go back to the 2022 border, with peacekeepers.

6. Ireland has a standing army of 6000 active personnel + 1000 reserve. That would mean a rather symbolic contribution to any peacekeeping force.

7. It would be great to see a truly joined up European peace keeping force. We all have a vested interest in seeing an end to this brutal war and secure our borders. I am from UK and I’m truly proud of the stance that our leaders have taken and the support they have given Ukraine.

   taking about a peacekeeper team ?, Ireland .. isn’t that this “Neutral” part of Europe whose main business model is to be a tax safe heaven for the likes of Google, Apple, Amazon and all these other American oligarch companies????. “A neutrality which unfortunately hinders Ireland to help a fellow Mainland European country from being bombed constantly by Rusia,??? Sorry but if I think of Ireland in this matter, I think of Zwitserland. hiding behind neutrality and kindly taking Oligarchs money.

11. Honestly, as much fun as it is to joke about Ireland, Ireland kind of sucks. Nazi sympathizers during the war, neutral during everything else, and a shitty record in UN peacekeeping missions.

    Realistically, they don’t have enough troops to actually have any influence in the peacekeeping force, so the more the merrier for the coalition, but I really hope we start seeing some more desired participation from other European and allied countries.
