  1. Whoah whoah whoah whoah.

What? Gosling is leading a Star Wars movie now?

  2. It’s hit a point where I’m not worried about a Star Wars movie because it’ll be a galactic miracle if rhey actually get past pre prod and is actually filmed.

  3. Interesting that this will be the next one released instead of the next one with Rey (Daisy Ridley).

  4. Disney needs to stop talking about their Star Wars movies in development, to be honest. They’ve announced and cancelled so many of these damn things, it’s embarassing and doesn’t instill confidence in fans who already feel burnt by the recent movies. There’s something to be gained by keeping stuff behind the curtain and mysterious before it’s actually ready for public eyes.

  5. Sorry everyone, this sounds awesome. Gosling commits to everything.

  6. ‘Set five years after the rise of skywalker’- I’m sorry are we still considering that fanfic shitshow canon.

  7. Will this one actually happen? Or just be cancelled due to creative differences like the other movies?

  8. The relief I felt after being sure it’s Gosling and not Reynolds. I don’t even watch Star Wars smh

  9. So did anyone else think the Deadpool and Wolverine film was awful? I just watched it. Didn’t like it at all. Once they go into that stupid “sacred timeline” bullshit, I’m completely done. The whole concept is terrible.

  10. But all Star Wars projects are supposed to be 5 years after Return of the Jedi not Rise of Skywalker

  11. Hopefully it’s a new story and has nothing to do with the Skywalkers

  12. Never thought Disney would actually kill star wars but here we are

  13. They should just let the franchise die at this point. Or if they really want to restart it, de-canonize all the chaff.

  14. What? When did Gosling sign onto Star Wars and why am I so behind this? But also, unless it’s a Gilroy feature why is Ryan even interested?

  15. I personally need another 5 or 6 years away from Rise of Skywalker and all of the Disneyfied Star Wars crap before I am willing to give any more of their films a chance.

My time and money are worth more.

  16. Meh, I’m pretty much done with Star Wars at this point. As someone who had a literal wall of books and comic books, and tons of collectibles before the Disney acquisition, I’ve lost pretty much all enthusiasm for the IP. At least I still have the original stuff, but almost everything they’ve done since buying Star Wars has just chipped away more and more of my desire to engage with that universe. The only thing that could save it at this point is them abandoning the new canon and sequel trilogy almost entirely, but they’ll never admit their failings and do that.

Have fun with your dying brand Disney. It could have been one of, if not the most successful brands in the world, but you decided to kill it.

  17. I’m just happy it’s AFTER all the shit and not another prequel. Gimme me some future stuff !

  18. Fans: We would like a KOTOR movie please

Disney: We here you, here’s another sequel trilogy

  19. How many movies have been announced and how many have we gotten since 2019? I’m not holding my breath

  20. Did an AI just throw together a bunch of words because since when was this happening

  21. Wake me up when there’s actually a trailer. Until then, this is hot air with Disney’s track record.

  22. Am I the only person who had a hard time with this logo?

  23. At this point anything by Disney I wait for reviews to come in. It’s crazy because I used to be so excited for anything they put out. I’m especially burnt out on Star Wars. The sequel trilogy lost so much of my good will and the bombardment of marvel and their constant live actions took care of the rest of it.

I don’t think baby goose can save this. I do have fond memories of blade runner 2049 though.
