First of all, Ukrainians are humans who were innocently attacked and live in great stress and constant pain. When it comes to using the term Slavs, Russia and its propaganda of Pan-Slavism like to do so, while Poles do not use it.
I will also add that, contrary to appearances, Slavs divide in different major groups and Ukrainians are Eastern Slavs, and Poles are Western Slavs. We have a different alphabet, a different faith, and as we know, Poland is in NATO and the EU, and Ukraine is not at this stage of its development. In truth, Poland currently has more in common with Germany or Spain than with Ukraine, and this is a huge difference. No similar cuisine or soup for dinner there will change that.
