“You’re gambling with World War Three,” President Trump bellowed at President Zelensky of Ukraine. “And what you’re doing is very disrespectful to the country.”
The meeting in the Oval Office, which had begun cordially, had descended into a shouting match. “You have not said thank you once,” sniped JD Vance, the vice-president, seated at Trump’s left hand side.
“From the very beginning of the war we’ve been alone,” Zelensky hit back. “And we are thankful. I said thanks.”
A reality TV star at the centre of it.
How can it be called a shouting match when one of the two sides doesn’t shout back?
What else is happening today that is being ignored for this story?
Is it too early to create a betting pool on which country will be the next nuclear power?
Of course, they knew there will be no deal, so they had to create a reaction from Zelensky to gaslight him and tell: “you see he doesnt want peace and its impossible to talk with him”
Yeah, he did it just for sake of the internal politics. He showed it clearly when he mentioned seeing it by American people.
There are two options:
1. this is all some kind of theatre to foul the Russians while behind the scenes something different is prepared that would break the russian neck

A despicable coordinated attack against Zelensky from Trump and Vance on behalf of Putin. Vance desperately butted into the meeting after forty minutes of the discussion showing a masterclass in how he brown nosed his way to the top. Absolutely abhorrent.
No. Trump’s point was to bully and belittle an elected leader whose country is literally being invaded by a fascist dictatorship.
Of course Trump sides with the fascist, just like he sides with the genocidal occupants in the Middle East.
So is their a deal now?
A humanitarian crisis taking place and he says “good television.” That’s despicable behavior from the American president. Very shameful from Vance, too.
Putin sees Ukraine as part of Russia and he will more likely escalate, and the way Trump dismissed the Baltic topic (if that’s the right word) only strengthens Putin’s position. It’s a win-win for him overall. Now, with this kind of attitude, the China-Taiwan issue is likely to escalate as well. This feels like a set up to break up this relationship. 28th Feb was wild and for all the wrong reasons.
This isn’t reality TV. This is life and death.
What a terrible hit on Zelenskyy – that made me infuriated. 1,000,000 casualties and this is the game they play. Sorry if you voted for them but these two people are scum.
Great television? It was an unbearable embarrassment for everybody except Russia. If this is somehow Trump 4D chess like some people like to claim, he better bring it to climax soon. Because this is not helping anybody except Russia. This is not good for America, Europe, or Ukraine.
Everything Trump does and says makes more sense once you realize that Trump has sub-clinical **Cluster B personality traits.**

It was all STAGED!
Whoever just watched last 15 minutes of meeting should watch the whole meeting. Meeting went as intended for most part. The last 15 minutes of controversy to grab attention accomplished this:
1. Russia sees Zelenskyy insulted by US
2. Trump shows US populace how difficult of a job it is to make this deal.
3. JD Vance establishes himself into MAGA!
Deal has already been made. It will become public at appropriate time. Don’t believe me, watch US stock market reaction right after the meeting. It shot up in last 15 minutes.
The United States is an enemy to freedom, democracy and soveriegnty and must be treated as hostile by every civilised nation.
Who wants to see this Jerry Springer show in the oval office?!? Shame on jou, go clean this awful office before it’s definitely too late.
Undoubtedly this was a planned public humiliation to set the narrative for dropping an support when Ukraine does not accept this capitulation.
Drump put on a show and ended up looking the weakest of the bunch. He allowed Vince to talk over him and interject emotionally charged commentary. He then builds on the emotion, enters Z-man physical space then clearly has to reach for control with hard threats of WW3…. z-man stayed chill and rolls his eyes.
The decorum of the conversation was paltry. Drump is painting the USA into a corner.
This is not the shot heard around the world, but the turning point that unravels everything we have built. Our standing, our influence, our respect among nations—weakening, crumbling, fading into the annals of history. There are no speeches left to give, no rallying cries to make—only the quiet, uneasy silence of a nation standing on the edge, peering into the darkness, wondering if this is the moment we let it all slip away.
Zelensky torpedoed his diplomatic mission. He should’ve listened to the advice that was given to him and not keep insisting on security guarantees which were not on the agenda of today’s meeting. Instead he accused US administration’s diplomacy with Russia of being useless: what was he thinking!? Europe doesn’t want to give him the security guarantees he wants either.
He doesn’t get it that the US wants to end its commitment to the war, either on favorable or catastrophic terms for Ukraine. And Zelensky today made one step closer to a catastrophic peace deal, where the US just negotiates for itself and leaves.
this is what happen when you are desperate to win a peace prize, regardless of the repercussion.
Exactly that words triggered a red alert in my head with “STAGED” all over it.
This was coordinated in Saudi Arabia pact conference.
Point was to televise / socialise discreditation of Heroic President, making it “look really really bad” so they can stop military/comms/economical aid.
As an execution of payback for not signing off the slavery ore contract.
Salesman logic. Putin offered lower price for the SAME ore he is planning to capture IF Trump cuts arms delivery. So he saves in two directions by betraying Ukraine.

Trump thought Zelensky could be forced into signing the mineral deal on live TV. It was supposed to be the ‘art of the deal’ TV show.
All the American Presidents since 2014 have let down the Ukrainian people. Crimea never should’ve happened never mind the war.

The point is obvious, it was to convince his base that Zelensky is “ungrateful” or “insulting America” so Trump can fulfil Russia’s plans. It worked. His base actually fell for it hook, line, and sinker. You can watch them fall over themselves to attack Zelensky for completely untrue reasons. Theater is way more important than facts to the crowd he is targeting.
