In a statement, Mendoza shared that both Hackman and Arakawa’s bodies tested negative for carbon monoxide poisoning. The Sheriff also stated that Gene Hackman’s pacemaker recorded its “last event” on Feb. 17, meaning that it is assumed that was the actor’s last day of life. Toxicology and autopsy reports remain pending.

  2. Maybe I’m morbid, and it’s not even that it happened to a famous person and his wife, but I just want to know how it happened. I’m reading the speculations and thinking “that could make sense” or “that’s reaching.” It’s like watching a Scary Interesting video.

  3. This reminds me of a story of a family that went hiking and they found them all dead together like this. I think it was a weird extreme version of dehydration

  4. This makes sense, a medical episode like this can happen at the most inappropriately time. I was reading how the others were commenting that something like this was likely the cause of death.

  8. My theory in a sea of theories. He has a cardiac episode, wife runs to get medicine (I read it was Tylenol and blood pressure pills?), trips, spills pills/knocks over heater, hits head and dies. Dog dies from starvation (if it was in a crate, otherwise maybe it ate pills.) either way, terribly sad.

  9. What’s throwing me off is the dog locked in the bathroom closet. That makes me think somebody did or was doing something the dog would defend against. So something is sketchy with all this. Plus the odds they both died at the same time seems ridiculous

  11. Yeah he been dead. ☠️. Shorty lost it too. Poor dog and the two other dogs must have been starving running around.

  13. Guys. He was fucking 95. She wasn’t the youngest person either. It’s entirely possible she died of a sudden medical event and he had an event as a result
