Türkiye has along history with Russia and not a particularly pleasant one. Erdogan will be concerned about the Black Sea becoming a Russian “lake” and will clearly concerned about the Russians wanting to re-establish Novorossia.
Ukraine is a natural ally in stopping both those threats to Türkiye, get them into the EU and sign them up for peace keepers in Ukraine.

EU, cover borders with Belarus and northern free part of it with Russia.
Give, land, lease, make a deal, whatever with UA and send over 90% of missiles, 50% of your drones, additional vehicles, frontline air support… what’s needed so UA could end it in one final push.
That would give dictator Putin way out since he could claim in the front of domestic sheep how he lost the 3 day war to NATO. (Without NATO involvement.)

You don’t invite someone to your home, let alone a man representing a nation of 80 million, and then insult him in front of the world while he is in your home. Rather, a leader of a country should represent the best manners of his people and culture. Erdugan may be an awful tyrant, but he does not betray the Turkish people in this regard. He honors his guest, even holding an umbrella for him to keep him dry, as generosity and hospitality is a basic fundamental quality of Turkish culture. What Trump did in the White House today was disgraceful and besmirched the reputation of the American people.
