Someone should tell the Asian community about Alton Towers and Blackpool if house viewing is a day out! /s
Another bigot mistakenly saying the quiet part out loud. Ironically, they are being provided shelter for this behaviour by another thing they hate: if it wasn’t for the fact that pOlItIcAl CoRrEcTnEsS hAs GoNe MaD iN tHiS cOuNtRy holding them back from saying what they really mean, we’d be able to identify and challenge a lot more of these people.
Stupid old cow probably just bitter Indians have some wealth now, and aren’t stupid enough to pay asking price in the first house they see. Nevermind, they’ll just take their money elsewhere.
We spent about 2 years looking for our current house, it is a big decision. Admittedly we were mainly looking at new builds so the person was being paid to show us around. But it must have appeared to some of them that we were time wasters.
When we finally decided, we wanted to sell our existing house as quickly as possible. The place we had picked was exactly what we wanted at a decent price, so we didn’t want to lose it. So we sold our old house at a very good price. We didn’t give it away, but the young couple who bought it got a pretty good deal. It went in a couple of days.
Those are your choices. If you want top price, you have to wait for someone who really, really wants it. If you want an easy, quick sale, you have to sell it for very slightly less.
Pricing it too high then turning into a bitter old racist when nobody wants it really isn’t an option.
People are arses. My friend, and her then fiance were looking at properties over the 700k mark. They’re both in their mid twenties, and they would regularly get estate agents snuffing their nose up at them. Presumably due to age, although my friend was Asian, so could be agest or racist. Anyway, when they’d get arses like that, they wouldn’t bother looking any further after the first impression was so rude and awful.
It would be absolutely terrible if loads of people were to book viewings just to have a wonder round and ask a lot of obtuse questions. People definitely shouldn’t do that just to waste this bigoted idiot’s time, that would probably really annoy her.
> But the owner has said she ‘isn’t the slightest bit racist’, telling MailOnline: ‘There’s a lot more to the story than you know’.
Is there? If there’s more to the story which makes you look better, you’d think you might want to mention it rather than just making a cryptic comment.
Unless there’s “more to the story” and it makes the racists look even worse…
I think everyone who can should go take a viewing of Claire May’s house as a day out. Just like rock up with a picnic or something. Just don’t like buy it or anything. Force the “I’m not racist but” sack of shit to pay for a real estate agent who will hopefully be smart enough to keep her the hell away from the clients.
Holy fuck that’s the most awkward thing I’ve read in a while. My first thought was “is this Russia?”, where there are supposedly “slavs only” rental adverts.
In general, do people actually view houses for a day out with zero intention of moving or buying? That much of a thing? I know people do it with high end car dealerships and I know one person who suited up to view a million pound house, decades ago.
