  4. Can’t be the only one who noticed that zelensky seemed to be tearing up a little and was clearly feeling emotional when he was sat down with Starmer as Starmer pointed out the cheers and claps he got from the public upon arriving?

  9. Forget Starmer and his clothes, that’s Zelenski’s thing, he’s the one at war. According to Oscar Wilde, “Patriotism is the virtue of the viscous” but seeing how he was received by the crowd and the PM made me unusually proud.

  27. This whole debacle in the United States is a reminder to all democracies that when the people are poor, tired, and suffering, they are easily manipulated to vote against their own interests and install authoritarian “messiahs” who promise them “strength” and “prosperity”.

  28. U.K. remembers the U.S. behaviour in WW2. Some people in the U.S. are not bad, so you have to try. Glad they are not the only option in the world though, even if they think they are.

  45. I have always had my problems with the UK, having grown up in one it’s poorest counties, but the reception he was given and the commitment towards assisting the Ukraine makes me feel proud to be British and proud we’re not abandoning a European neighbour.

    I sincerely hope Zelensky lives to see peace. I hope that Ukranians have their stolen terrirtories returned to them, and I hope that European nations continue to support the Ukraine as they work to heal the damage done.

    Also, fuck Trump and Fuck Vance.

  47. Dear British People and entire Europe, you cannot imagine how it is important for us, Ukrainians, to see this. These last few weeks were a complete turmoil that ended with a betrayal yesterday. Seeing your support gives us hope.
