From my observations though it was Johnson that spear headed the aggressive sanctions and then other leaders followed suit. Even America wasn’t peppered to go that far until we did.
Whether you believe the statement or not though, try telling this to the Americans. From what i’ve seen we largely don’t even exist. Its all pat on the back for the US intelligence “probably” exposing positions to the Ukrainians. Failing to realise UK intelligence gathering is one of the best in the world. The best by some sources. The CIA work very closely with MI6 in times like these as well.
He certainly talks a good game, however he is very reluctant to be open about the relationship between the Tory party and donations from Russia. He did also make it so oligarchs had time to get their assets out of the UK as best as possible before they were sanctioned. He has done some things, however not with the speed you would want from the ‘most active’ anti-Russian leader.
Sounds to me like Boris called him and told him he was in hot water for parties, giving Knighthoods to KGB offspring, and weak wanker on sanctions.
Makes perfect sense to me… if you understand the joke and the joker it is applied to.
