  1. Some fought against oppressive rule. Some just enaged in murder and robbery.

  3. Some were figthing against oppressors, some were killing polish citizens. This whole topic is rather murky and it is a shame that whole public debate was monopolized by polish nationalists who are rather neglectful when it comes to engaging with sources.

    Btw, some of these “wyklęci” openly collaborated with Nazis, albeit being invaders, they ideologically more or less aligned. Sometimes it was to attack the Red Army, sometimes to rob and/or kill civilians.

  6. It is kind of a myth. While some of the former WW2 resistance members attempted to fight against communistic regime, vast majority of those who fought after 1945 are confirmed criminals and renegades, usually not associated with AK.

    It is worth to notice that command of Polish resistance (AK) ordered its soldiers to stop fighting.

    Participants of so called post 1945 residence rarely targeted soviets. Too weak to attack communist troops they went after regular police force, teachers, wealthier individuals and minor officials – often regular people not involved in any oppression.

    Entire villages have been terrorized and forced to surrender they money and food. In Podlasie, renegades targeted Belarussians and committed ethnically motivated murders.

  7. Bullshit repeated by ignorants here, that Żołnierze Wyklęci were bunch of crimials didn’t come from nowhere.
    First of all we need to know who were they in fact: people who actively opposed to communist pupped goverment and betrayal of Allies, USA actually, putting Poland on Soviet side of the Iron Courtain.
    Here works sovie propaganda, portaying them as thieves, murderers, rapists any many other sort of criminals. Soviet actively hunted them, presented them forged charget and put them to trial where he only sentence was death. There were later called “court murders”, done by so called “stalinist judges”.

    Second part is that in fack, PiS tried to play on “Żołnierze Wyklèci” memory that i why some ignorants like in comments above repeat it mindlessly. Because it’s from political party they are against so everything it’ opponents say must be correct. Even if historically false.

  13. W komentarzach wylew ojkofobicznych dzbanów powielających kropka w kropkę komunistyczną propagandę. Zastanawia mnie skąd bierze się ta nienawiść w stosunku do wyklętych i czy mają z tym coś wspólnego powiązania przodków z partią czy po prostu czysta ignorancja.
