  1. To put it easy so everyone can understand if they don’t want to click the link

during the famine there was plenty of food growing in Ireland besides potatoes but the English was sending them overseas they seen this as an opportunity to get rid of us so they literally just stoof back shipped the food around all over the world and watched us die by the millions.
also an English politician is quoted saying “if the Irish don’t learn from this mistake they never will”

And also the potato blight didn’t just affect Ireland but it affected a mass majority of Europe but the funny thing is that they bounce back very quick were the Irish literally pushed into the middle of a genocide without knowing it

  2. I read this as “how the British saved Ireland” and I was prepared to let the video creator have a first hand experience of 1845

  3. Delighted someone else has seen this but if anyone actually looks at the content of this channel it’s utterly bizzare!

It’s a channel set up solely to contradict the ‘misinformation’ posted by another channel called “PragerU” (I don’t know if either channels are right though). This Gravel institute says that the channel PragerU is funded by oligarchs and oil companies to spread misinformation… anyone reading this comment check out both channels it’s utterly bizzare and mad !

FYI neither channels are affiliated to any university

  4. The Holodomor in Ukraine was a very similar situation. Starving people into either death or submission while exports went on their merry way throughout. At least 3.5 million people dead within a year.

  5. Wish the role of capitalism was taught more in our history of the famine. It couldn’t have happened without the laissez-faire policies.
