WESTFORD — Looking for something to do today? The Westford Museum and Historical Society today will explore the American economy during the colonial era in the third of several events commemorating the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution.

During the program, attendees will learn about the value of money in colonial America, currency used by colonists and how goods were bought and sold during the era.

The presentation will feature period images and outline how early colonies transitioned from British coins, which circulated infrequently in the colonies, to paper currency in the 18th century.

Matthew Mees, a scenic carpenter, historian and historical re-enactor  who specializes in colonial life during the 18th century will host the presentation.

A suggested donation of $10 per person is requested to attend the event.

The event will be held at the Westford Museum, 2 Boston Rd., on Sunday, March 2 at 1:30 p.m. For information on Westford Museum upcoming programming, visit museum.westford.org.
