I know it’s probably silly but as an American (not a happy one at the moment) who has dreamed of visiting Ireland, these chips at my local grocery store made me so happy.

We are planning our first trip to Ireland and I have been researching everything I can for a ten day trip. My family tree has ties to Donegal but from almost two hundred years ago so I would never claim to be Irish.

Anyways, just love chips and can’t wait to visit!

  1. Good Irish crisps (unlike Tayto which is actually German).

  2. They’re alright, nothing compared to O’ Donnells though. Cheddar and Ballymaloe Relish are far better than any Keogh crisps

  3. I have to say the American version of sour cream (or any crisps that emulate a milk-based product) taste absolutely awful and artificial. I’m not sure what goes into them but it’s revolting.

Had a Pringles Everything Bagel flavor and I actually gagged.

I completely understand the hype Tayto gets from Irish emigrants.

  4. These are S-Tier crisps.

As an all-things-potato enthusiast, these are the cream of the crop when it comes to crisps.

The crinkle cut sour cream in particular have an incredible flavour. (which are the ones you have!)

  5. I visit family in the USA from Ireland, no joking half my luggage is filled with these crisps (chips)

  6. I hope you have a great time here! Plenty of options to try out. Just remember crisps when you’re here 😀 Though most pub staff when hearing the accent, if you aren’t actively holding a menu, will double check if you ask for chips.

  7. I can’t believe this guy hates our crisps and is claiming to be Irish smh.

  8. These are made near where I’m from.
One of the parents in the school I taught in worked there. They ran this programme with my class where the kids could grow their own potatoes.

The parent came back to collect everything the kids had grown. A few weeks later a giant box full of crisps showed up for them, name with the potatoes they’d grown.

Loved it. Loads left over for teacher too.

  9. The normal cut ones are better than the crinkle cut imo.

  10. I live in New Hampshire, US, and my local grocery store just started carrying this brand. The Truffle and Irish Butter chips are incredible.

  11. These are fantastic. I’ve been buying these specific ones along with the Cheddar and Onion in Dunnes for €2.25 a bag over the last couple of weeks. They’re usually a bit dearer. I accidentally ordered the same flavour that weren’t crinkle cut, and they just weren’t the same at all. These ones I’d recommend over a kettle chip type cut.

  12. The cheese and onion version of these are the greatest crisps to have ever been produced, they are simply unbeatable.
