But it’s ok for the immunocompromised, elderly and other high risk people to have to use essential services – like public transport and supermarkets – while there’s no mask mandates on them? I thought it was just a bad flu season Leo? 🤔

Private business has 2 employees contract covid or covid like symptoms and decides to reintroduce precautionary measures to protect remainder of staff and visitors – No outrage.
Dáil does same thing – Outrage! Outrage everywhere!!
Where’s the harm in this?
Still outraged about covid stuff? There’s some much fresh outrage to be had, move on dude
If you’re truly that bad, which not to powerlevel, I am, you stay at home and work around it. You get your groceries delivered, have your medical appointments over the phone, try and fill the emptiness with Amazon, etsy and ebay purchases but instead slowly lose the will to live.
This is just how it is right now for some of us. There are people before the pandemic who lived like this all the time. The numbers will eventually drop to a safer level and we can resume life. Until then, there is reddit and doing zoom calls in your knickers!
Gav is such a mixer.
Why did they remove the requirement for masks on public transport?
That should be forever in my opinion, especially if its crowded.
My workplace has mandatory mask wearing for staff. A number of third level institutions also require it on campus etc.
Also, The Oireachtas civil servants have been fairly strict with Covid restrictions through the whole pandemic so this isn’t surprising.
People can still wear masks, many still are. Get over it
If you want to wear a mask wear one. You should adjust to suit you, not everyone else, go out of their way to suit you.
Everywhere is a “campus” nowadays. That patch of tarmac outside the HSE clinic on Amien Street? A campus. That doorway at the side of an English-language school on the Quays? Yep, a campus. Also Gavin Reilly isn’t a real journalist. That’s all.
Why personally direct this statement to “Leo”. Living rent free in some people’s heads.
Cabinet has collective responsibility.
Government has to be realistic in rules or else they get completely ignored.
On the train at this very moment and at least 90% of the people are wearing masks.
Quit talking shite, masks are well and truly still a thing.
The requirement is gone but most sensible people are still wearing them. I think a good balance has been struck. The government aren’t making up measures as they go along and the public are respecting the simplest safety protocols of their own volition.
It sounds like you’re begging for masks to come back. I swear some people here just love being miserable.
