Israel cuts off humanitarian supplies to Gaza as it seeks to change ceasefire deal

1. Are there still people in the world who defend Israel honestly at this point? Not talking about Israel’s hasbara and bot brigades. I’ve just honestly not met anyone ‘in the wild’ who does personally. Seems to only be only online where I find genocide and ethnic cleansing apologists.

   Like they’re occupying three of their neighbours in the past year

2. Israel wants to get more Israeli hostages back. I get it, and support that. But stopping all humanitarian supplies? No, that’s wrong. If for nothing else than because it is ineffective. Hamas doesn’t care about its own people, and will likely celebrate getting a PR win, especially as their fighters won’t go hungry. It’s a lose-lose.

   What I wish was that Gazans would release all hostages and swear off attacking Israel. No more firing tens of thousands of rockets at Israeli civilians. And I wish that Israel would give everyone arrested a speedy trial with charges or release them (which honestly they should do regardless).

   But instead what do we have? Israel making a pants on head backwards move that won’t get anyone released, which Hamas likely is celebrating. This is just bad news all around.
