The relative lack of HAIR ON FIRE coverage about the economy under Trump compared to Biden is notable leaving one to draw the simple conclusion that Trump is being held to a more lenient standard in this department.

It seems that most of the frogs in the pot are just enjoying the warm water…
Whose economy?
Lot of PMC types in government employ laid off. Cashiers still getting all the hours they want.

That’s always been the case. No focus on the core issue but broadcast the bat shirt crazy stories
The media is right wing and complicit.
I mean this has been evident for the past 5 years. Biden got the blame for the Covid fallout that Trump made exponentially worse
Look no matter how you feel , can we all agree on something. JD Vance is a bitch lol
This will double by the end of the first week of March.
No one complaining about the price of eggs all of a sudden. Strange since the price has only increased.
This is part of flooding the zone. With so many new stories going around it’s hard to focus on the right one.
That X account is a joke.
Tbh, aren’t Republicans in general held to much lower standards? As long as Trump doesn’t choke on his tongue while speaking, anything he says is twisted into the most positive version possible.
Guys can we just admit our news media has gone to complete shit, we need to boycott all major news for their censorship and ineptitude
So you’re saying the media can be biased in what they chose to report? Shocker.
Probably because people are smart and know that it’s going to take time to fix. Where as Reddit just such an epic cope fest about trump winning at all
The economy doesn’t change directions on a dime. It takes time. Maybe that’s why there is a lack of coverage. Now look at the worlds economy, almost all are slumping too.
Lenient? White-glove treatment, you mean?
This post is hilarious. You all were complaining that Trump would get credit for the Biden economy being so good. Since you all are starting to see it wasn’t as rosy as the media wanted you to believe, you want to blame Trump. Get some pride in yourself.
Most of the mainstream media is owned by billionaires and works to serve the owners not the people reading/watching the news. The sooner we all realize that the better.
The economy and stock market hasn’t crashed, and Tarriffs and his disastrous trade policy haven’t taken effect yet. Give it time.
Trumps not even deporting as many people as Obama did. Trump is a joke and the media is covering for him. They should be blasting him for failing to protect the border.
I recall the conservative mainstream media cooking up terms like “vibecession” when the numbers failed to meet their doom&gloom narrative.
Funny how that changes…
Maybe. I think it’s more of a bandwidth issue . The blitzkrieg that he launch on the government, jeez, the day after the election(?) has really been successful in keeping any single story from getting the attention it deserves. I think we’re starting to see themes emerge now though:
Musk is dangerous, hypocritical, and out of control. Trump isn’t doing a think to help inflation. His tariffs are going to drive up prices. His mass civil servant firings are causing his own voters a lot of pain.
Hopefully these things will get through to the public. Public opinion is the one thing he actually pays attention to. As much as he claims all of his polls are amazing (spoiler: They’re not) he has reversed course on a few decisions that spurred some backlash.
Interesting, economic boycotts are gaining steam. In the US there are no metrics watched more closely than consumer spending and consumer confidence. If this sneaks up on elected officials because the media didn’t cover it well earlier it will have an even greater impact. Some easy steps for many 1. Leave your bank and find a great credit union. 2. Review and get rid of unnecessary subscriptions. 3. Stop buying things you don’t need from Walmart, Target, Amazon, Home Depot, Sam’s Club, and Menards. 4. Drive as little as possible, look at public transit and biking where you can. 5. Stop eating at large national fast food places and chain restaurants. Check out your local grocery store, butcher, ethnic market, coop. Check the behavior of large businesses you plan to keep using. I’m OK with Costco, Best Buy, Lowe’s, Lyft, and eBay. You can choose your own ethical exceptions. Stop buying things on social media and take Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google, WhatsApp, Google Maps off your phone. If you must use these Social Media networks use them at home on a tablet or PC. Carrying them in your pocket allows them to monetize you. Don’t spend money vacationing in red states and don’t send your kids there for college. Stop using delivery apps and Uber. Call to order at local restaurants and pick it up yourself. Buy and share physical media, go to the library. Learn to thrift. Loudly tell the world what you are doing, especially Republican elected officials if you live in a red area. Don’t listen to people who tell you that your actions won’t make a difference. They will and we are riding a wave. Big businesses have already slowed spending and begun hoarding cash because of the trump chaos. Add up the money you save and use it to support local businesses, your local food shelf, etc.. It’s going to get ugly and they will need our support.
OMG, it’s been *OVER A MONTH* and everything is fully destroyed.

Trump has destroyed the ENTIRE UNIVERSE in about ONE MONTH.
Just wait till his FIRST BUDGET get passed…
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
We’re all going to DIE.

I mean, they spent 10 years sanewashing these lunatics so what you expect.
Legacy news media desperately needed an administration that would be favorable to corporate acquisitions. The only way they can survive is through consolidating the media industry, either buying up smaller fish or being bought out by a massive whale.
The Biden administration stopped the party on that kind of thing after Trump lost re-election. It’s no wonder they all seem weirdly light on Trump in his second term, focusing more on Democrat failures to prevent bad things form happening than the people actually making them happen in the first place.
