  5. This is what I thought as soon as I looked at project 2025. Nothing else makes sense unless you foolishly believe the power behind Trump’s presidency is made up of ignorant, stupid people. Remember the moment you underestimate your opponent you’re done for.

I read somewhere that behind the Broligarchs there’s a “Dark Maga” sect who’s logic goes something like this: (1) collapse of civilisation is now inevitable (2) the sooner it happens the better because then (3) they can take over running things (4) using their genius to sort things out. Side note: yes millions of people will die, but they’re poor so it doesn’t matter; think of it as a cleansing of the human gene pool to reward rich people, because rich people are smart, so surviving genes will be a positive for humanity.

    Apart from the ghoulish recklessness of such ideology, and its crass eugenics, it has several fatal flaws, the principal one being that no mammals will survive >860 PPM.

    Turns out they’re not that smart, they’re just greedy selfish psychopaths.

Somebody should read them a history book on European castles and how long the people that built them got to live in them before the wasteland warlords outside rounded up a disgruntled army, declared themselves king, besieged the castle, sold the rich brats into slavery and took the castle for themselves to award as a title.

    Spoiler warning: it’s short. There’s a reason places with castles have a history of siege warfare that never ends well for the people cooped up in the castles.

    1) we are not spending a dime on climate change because it is not going matter
    2) the best strategy is to prepare for the dystopian future by controlling all resources and usable land while creating a mechanism that control the masses

  13. A significant portion of the American electorate are would be serfs in this new global order. They actually want to live under the dominance of feudal overlords. If any poetic justice is to be found in an outcome like the article describes it will be that the every day MAGA worshipper gets exactly what they want in this regard.

  19. This is obvious, they have given up on avoiding apocalypse and instead want bunkers, VR and altered forms of consciousness, and/or space colonies. If they can control the collapse of this world then they can be the kings of the new one. The problem is they are deluded in what technology can do to save them and are accelerating destruction of still saveable world in the process, and they are far too egotistical and simply not smart enough on the realities of what it takes to sustain humanity for their plans to ever work.
