  7. I will never not upvote an amphibian – bufo bufo, I do believe, and a very handsome one at that (I quoted Mr Mole earlier, I saw Mr Badger yesterday and now Mr Toad – it has definitely been a Wind in the Willows weekend)

  15. It’s like mating season isn’t it. Week ago was load of people on a road that they cross this time of year ensuring that they didn’t get squashed etc. Not all heroes wear capes.

  16. My father in law is an ex military man, and even as he approaches his 75th birthday he’s as strong as an ox. Absolutely terrified of toads though. It’s his kryptonite.He will scream like a child if he sees one.

  17. We get hedgehogs, badgers, and the occasional fox snooping around. We’re surrounded by fields so it’s always a welcome surprise. Looking forward to the bats we get darting around our garden soon

  19. We’ve got them living underneath our decking. They look massive but the gaps they can squeeze through make my brain hurt. They give the cats a fright!
