Ukrainian attack drones successfully conducted one of the deepest strikes of the war tonight, hitting Russia’s Ufa Oil Refinery, over 1300 km behind the frontline. The Russian refinery is burning.

  1. Brilliant job.

Putin looking and weak as shit to his people if he can’t protect strategic assets

  2. I look forward to the usual excuse that the air defences worked fine but the fire was unfortunately caused by falling debris.

I am not sure why russians think it sounds better to claim their refineries are so poorly built that a small amount of falling debris can set them on fire. But they keep saying it for some reason.

  3. I had Dugins’s Tsargrad website still open (had verified yesterday that he asks for advertisers)
    and even there it is:
    “…
The explosion occurred at 2:38 a.m. local time. According to eyewitnesses, the powerful explosion,
which many mistook for an earthquake, was preceded by the sound typical of drones flying.

According to preliminary data, a strong fire has broken out at the plant,
the glow from which can be seen in several areas of the city.
Fire crews have been dispatched to the scene. There is no official information about the incident. …”

    Also there … Lipetsk(?!):

“Lipetsk residents report sounds of explosions. Air defense system over the city was activated
Sounds of explosions are heard in Lipetsk. This is reported by city residents.
According to preliminary data, the air defense system is working.
Residents of Lipetsk report sounds reminiscent of explosions.
The air defense system was activated over the city.
Eyewitnesses say that three explosions were heard on the outskirts of the city at about half past twelve at night.
In the northern part of Lipetsk, bright flashes were observed in the sky, and an alarm siren sounded.
According to preliminary data, the air defense system successfully intercepted several air objects.
There is currently no information about damage or casualties.
Earlier, the head of the Lipetsk region, Igor Artamonov, warned of a possible threat
of attack by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and recommended that residents remain in safe places
    until the alarm is lifted.”

  4. A cursory review shows Russian oil production dropped by less than a million barrels compared to last year.

Russia is still producing over 9 million barrels of oil a year despite the drone strikes and sanctions. It seems like the Russians have figured out ways to quickly repair refineries.

I wonder what the best targets would be to handicap Russia’s aggression. Tunnels, and bridges?

When taking out a refinery, perhaps roads / rails leading to the refineries should be hit as well in to delay the repairs?

I really though knocking out the refineries would severely hurt Russia, but they have figured out ways to repair the refineries quickly.

  5. Well, there’s no ceasefire, and there’s no surrender.

  7. I got this weird feeling that if Russia starts to collapse that new evil US government will attack Ukraine military, saving Russia from collapse.

  8. The USA has never been so weak. Do the European leaders understand what cards they have? I believe Macron does. The whole thing makes me anxious and I really hope Europe can sort this out.
