Garry Ringrose in action against Wales
France are up in arms about a perceived injustice in the way Garry Ringrose’s disciplinary process was handled and the French federation has written to World Rugby to question the ‘consistency and fairness’ of the process involved.
The Ireland centre will miss the battle between the two sides this weekend after being hit with a six-week ban for his head-high shot on Ben Thomas, which was mitigated down to three thanks to his clean record and good conduct. Further to that, Ringrose can reduce his ban by another week by going through World Rugby’s mandated coach intervention programme.
