  1. This is absolutely unreal. What causes our kids to carry on like this!

  2. Is this a higher level of aggression or are we just hearing more about it??

  3. This is just near where I live, I hadn’t heard about it. How horrific.

  4. Horrific stuff. I hope she can put her life back together. After being stabbed myself, I know it’s hard to get over the psychological effects.

I also hope that the boy gets the help he needs as it sounds like something has gone wrong for him.

  5. This was last year, I assumed that the girl had died.

  6. I don’t care if he is young, he’s old enough and what he did was absolutely horrific and insane.
The chance of him being rehabilitated are very slim and no one else should bear its risk. he should stay in jail at least until he’s old enough not to be of any danger, like 80+.

  7. This is happening every other week now.

    We all know why.

If you are working to create and defend this situation, then you have the blood of every one of these kids on your hands.

No amount of virtual signalling, being on the right side of history and empathy can make you a good person. Actually, creating a country where people are safe and happy is hard and means tough decisions. Taking those tough choices, caring about the outcomes and going against the crowd is what makes a truly good person and a meaningful life.

  8. Every day brings another horror story. When did kids stop being kids.

  9. It all comes down to parenting. No inequality BS. There’s something terribly wrong with the way the child was brought up.

  10. Can we just throw the little shit in jail and have done with it? I don’t give two hoots that he was 14, it was attempted murder and a suspended sentence would be taking the piss

  11. Er, why was the other girl in possession of the sword prior to this? Surely she’s complicit, and her parents have a lot to answer for. Not to detract at all from the actions of the boy, but this sounds like the weapon was basically placed in his hands by others who are also partly responsible for the outcome.

  12. How stabbing someone 10 times with a sword can go down as not attempted murder, is beyond me.
