Aedifica, the Belgium-based healthcare real estate investor, has completed the divestment of its property portfolio in Sweden.
On February 28, it signed an agreement to sell a portfolio of five preschools and one school in Sweden for SEK454m. This deal follows the disposal of 22 small-scale residential care centres, completed February 14.
“We decided to divest the Swedish portfolio because its contribution to the Group’s EPRA Earnings is limited compared to other segments, thus allowing for a capital recycling opportunity,” said Stefaan Gielens, CEO. “This divestment gives us extra firepower to pursue new investment opportunities and refill our development programme.”
Proceeds will be reinvested in the coming months.
