The US has stopped sharing intelligence with Ukraine that could be used by Kyiv’s forces to launch attacks inside Russia.
A Ukrainian source told Sky News that the intelligence which helps Ukraine attack Russia on Ukrainian territory will continue to be shared.
The insider said “It is selective”.
CIA Director John Ratcliffe confirmed intelligence and military aid to Ukraine had been temporarily cut off by Washington but believes the pause “will go away soon”.
Ratcliffe said Donald Trump “had a real question about whether President Zelensky was committed to the peace process, and he said ‘let’s pause, I want to give you a chance to think about that’.”
He said the response came soon after Zelensky’s statement in which the Ukrainian President said he was ready for peace, as per Sky News.
“On the military front and the intelligence front, the pause that allowed that to happen, I think will go away,” he says.
He added: “And I think we’ll work shoulder to shoulder with Ukraine, as we have, to push back on the aggression that’s there and put the world in a better place for these peace negotiations to move forwards.”
