Organ tourism has rapidly increased: UK legislators must tackle forced harvesting

  1. Interesting to read about this on Wikipedia, especially the Falun Gong (right wing, anti-vax, anti-race mixing cult). [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Organ_transplantation_in_China](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Organ_transplantation_in_China)

Not sure how much of that is just explained by Chinese law allowing those killed by capital punishment to have their organs taken (with consent, supposedly), since 1984, although the vice health minister kind of claimed that’s stopped, since 2015.

Like the US, China has made a lot of positive contributions, like in science, technology and poverty-reduction, but there’s maybe some horrific things happening at the same time. Could also be they’ve done forced organ removal to increase their expertise in the field before moving on to a fully legitimate industry.

  2. There is still no actual evidence for China harvesting organs right? People keep making accusations, and other people repeat those accusations, but no one has actual evidence beyond some very very open to interpretation statistics.
