Yes, Canada is a net exporter—i.e., in a year, it exports more electricity to the USA than it imports. And that is more pronounced in the East, such as Ontario, and Quebec. But more recently, Western Canada (Alberta and BC) has been importing more electricity from the USA than it’s been exporting.
But all in all, the USA imports less than 1% of its electricity from Canada.
Fuck you (Canadian politivans) and stop threatening. This should have been day 1 activity. The US is serious enough to impose tariffs, we should be seriously retaliating. Trumps tariffs target all Canadians. Canadian tariffs should target all the US
