The Sellout of Ukraine Is One of the Most Disgraceful U.S. Foreign Policy Episodes in Decades

  1. The glaring problem is that not enough Americans (be they the cheeto’s goons for politicians or their millions of enablers among the general voting population) give a ѕhіt.

Just like how 140 million ordinary Russians are long overdue in assuming collective responsibility for the mountains of skulls made up of **non**-Russian victims accrued since 1547, 330 million ordinary Americans are now on the hook to assume collective responsibility for failing over 40 million Ukrainians and their true allies in the rest of the civilized world.

These are different from assigning incontrovertible collective *guilt* along the lines that **few are guilty but all are responsible** when it comes to one nation’s transgressions on another.

All that’s happened instead is that the Russians’ medieval-grade depravity and genocidal chauvinism have been irrevocably **vindicated** as they’ve openly re-enacted the deeds of the GоІdеn Ноrdе’ѕ horsemen or the Wеhrmасht’ѕ troops on the Eastern Front under the cover of ~~nuclear weapons~~ ~~WW3~~ EsCaLaTiOn!

  2. Most disgraceful so far

At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if Trump gives Putin a public hand job the next time they meet.

  3. *As vicious* as any betrayal we forced onto the Kurds.

*More idiotic* than anything we ever did in the Middle East. We have tossed aside our best democratic allies in Europe, to appease a fascist in Russia who still hates us.

  4. Will any nation trust the USA again? Trump has blatantly broken promises made by a previously elected president. No principles, no morals = no trust

  5. Not ‘one of’, it’s THE MOST. At this stage it’s purely treachery. Trump and his cadre are simply traitors against their allies, their own country and democracy.

  6. A commenter made a good point on there.

“If Russia had succeeded in planting a mole at the top of the US government, would that person be doing anything different from what we see from trump on a daily basis? “

  7. And this is why Canada should not trust the Americans on a trade deal.

  8. Maybe the world should retaliate by not buying from the US. Don’t buy Boeing, Harley & Chrysler/Jeep.
There’s plenty of alternatives, Canada & Mexico are standing up, isolate America, no gain without pain.

  9. Certainly, it is the most disgraceful foreign policy episode in my 35 year old life

  10. In some respects, I think the US has the same problem as Russia in that a huge chunk of the population just doesn’t care about politics / what their country does as long as the government leaves them alone.

I’ve certainly heard from some Americans over the last few weeks, but it’s shocking how little protest and domestic condemnation there seems to have been.

I contrast that with my own country, the UK. Politics is not typically talked about much, but literally everyone I have spoken to has said how poorly Ukraine has been treated and wants to help. Even our own Trump wannabe, Farage, has had the sense to keep his mouth shut.

To those Americans fighting for what is right, good luck and keep at it.

  11. Hmmm, I would posit that it is the most disgusting act of betrayal since the war of independence from the British.

  12. In decades? Yeah, like a couple dozen decades. It’s just as bad or worse than any foreign policy “episode”, ever in US history.

  13. Yeah the US is the bad guys here, and history won’t forget.
It’s wild how quickly Trump and his spineless traitorous goons have completely ruined the reputation of the US and caused so much chaos in the world

  14. Going down as the largest military blunder in history!

  15. I would say it’s on par with how they treated the UK during ww2..

Stand with Ukraine stand with civility stand with democracy

So who voted Trump in power…

USA has had its head up its rear for a very long time and the world turning its back on it should have happened long ago

  16. It’s America, as long as the price is high enough they’d sell their own kids. America now has a dictator and everyone is still marching. Once they plant one theirs in your crowds, it’ll be protesters who shot first. Just make sure you grab him first and offer him up as sacrifice.

  17. Don’t ever ally with America they are the worst friend ever

  18. Maybe it will turn out better for Europe with most willing to arm themselves rather than depend on an erratic and compromised American government.

  19. How about ever? Ukraine is essentially ours, and yet he is giving it away by appeasement.

  20. In decades? Finding it hard to remember anything as bad.

  21. American here. We tried to fight the stupid but there’s just too much. Most of the American people support Ukraine but half are just simply retarded and we can’t legally take away their right vote. So, those retarded people fell for all the lies because at the end of the day they think of politics like sports and they don’t really understand anything that happens beyond their ZIP code. It’s horrific.

  22. What is disgraceful Is how incredibly fucking ignorant most Americans are about their own history, and those who support what Trump is doing forget that when we were fighting for our independence from Great Britain (that was England, Scotland, and Wales back then), we were losing badly until the French helped us out. They were hugely instrumental in helping us defeat the British forces at the Battle of Yorktown, which ended the American Revolutionary War.

Did France demand repayment from the newly formed United States of America? No. Did France demand that we give them our natural resources as payment? No.

We would not have even been an independent country without France’s help, and that’s a fact.

Now we have a chance to pay it forward and help out another country, which we’ve been doing for a long time. But with the new administration now it’s quid pro quo (something for something).

Let me be clear about something I’m an American and I am disgusted with how ignorant my country is. I highly respect those who are in support of Ukraine, because they are supporting what’s right. The current administration are the biggest bunch of hypocrites, because they forget that we were supported by a country once when we were trying to be independent and free of another country.

Let me ask another question- Did Great Britain or France demand repayment or milking of natural resources from Poland after Hitler/Germany invaded in 1939? No. Did the United States do the same thing with the Philippines or any other country they helped out? No.

I love the principles that my country was founded upon- Agency, Life, Liberty, The Pursuit of Happiness, Freedom of Speech, Press, and Religion, The Right To Bear Arms, Judged By A Jury of your peers, and so much more.

But I hate how ignorant this country is.
