  10. The postal service, the water supply, and schools are services that may not be profitable, but in the long run, society benefits from their existence. The primary task of such institutions is not to make a profit, but to act for the common good.

    And Musk is a pillock.

    I was going LA to DFW. Had extra time, looked into taking the Amtrak for fun. Shit is more expensive than a plane ride.

  17. I would like to not agree with this dumbass, but as a user of the amtrak service, its really a POS compared to any other countries. As far as the Post office goes, he can keep his grubby hands off it. Amtrak needs upgrades and better rail lines. Their model is antiquated just like their train stations. On the west coast its like half train enthusiasts and half homeless transportation.
