After the United States yesterday announced it was pausing the sharing of intelligence with Ukraine, France has now stepped in to assist Kyiv.

Speaking this morning, France's Defence Minister Sébastien Lecornu told French public radio station France Inter that they were passing their intelligence onto the Ukrainians

  1. I reckon what’s really changed isn’t that France is provided intel to Ukraine, it’s that France is no longer providing intel to the US.

  2. I hope Europe stops sharing intel with US, as we must assume it will be going further to Russia.

  3. Every time I read the news about France stepping up I literally blast Marseillaise in my speakers for the whole office to hear.

  4. Considering the nut jobs now running US Intelligence, cia, fbi and such – the information from France and other nations is most likely 99% more accurate. I would seriously think just how much Russia has compromised the US intel being sent out to “allies” these days.

  5. Id have expected them to be sharing that intel all along?

  6. time to boot the amerikans out of europe i say.

  7. When does the EU/UK kick out the traitorous American scum military out of their nations? Shut down the bases ASAP and send them packing.

  8. All the love for France! Literally worried sick then read this. Thank you France!

  9. France has their own satellites and intelligence, so they’re also capable of warning Ukrainians early about impending aerial attacks, which was what many people were particularly concerned about after US decided to stop sharing all information.

We need to work closely together with France within Europe to strengthen these capabilities. Vive la France 🇫🇷

  10. I love France stepping up. Wish everyone in Europe was as fast and decisive. No more just throwing money around. Arms, intelligence, advanced weaponry. Get it to Ukraine.

  11. The heroes we need are stepping up. Fuck you TrElon

  12. Defence and intelligence wise, usa should be treated as a liability. They can not be trusted at the moment. That means, keep channels open, but no longer share intelligence automaticly.

Maybe its time for nato minus usa to turn the narrative.

Demand usa support or they will have to leave nato.

  13. Countries should rightly assume that any intel shared with the us is being fast tracked to Putin. Heck they should just go ahead and perform a Midway to see how compromised the US is.

  14. Shouldn’t the EU be doing this anyway?

Intelligence before hardware i would have thought.

  15. Always had a soft spot for the French. They have the balls to do what’s necessary, and the government serves the people, not the other way around.

  16. What puzzles me is…why wasn’t France doing that from the beginning?

  17. France and Macron are stepping up big time which is great to see. Although I am scared of what will happen when his term ends with Melanchon and Le Pen possibly taking over.

  18. As a french citizen , this is the moment we’ve been waiting for since WW2 . I hope we can rise to the occasion and fill the gaps that America leaves behind .

  19. I am so proud of France right now. And Poland. I am waiting of what big are the Germans going to do. High hopes for Germany.

  20. Basicly every Western country is sharing intelligence with Ukraine, and satellite systems for example have been donated/given access to from Finland, and Sweden gives Awacs information from their planes, UK from their systems etc.

Yes its shit that US halting supporting a friendly Western nation getting invaded, but iintelligence sharing and support has been flowing since the start of the war from other countries as well. The Ukrainians are not completely in the dark just because US turning a blind eye to democracy at the moment.
