Yaroslav Horyansky defended Ukraine from the Russian invasion as early as 2017. After mobilisation, he studied and worked abroad. When the full-scale war began, this veteran decided to return to Ukraine after three years of living in the EU to save lives. Now, as a combat medic, he conducts evacuations, provides first aid, and, when necessary, even goes on assaults with his comrades.
In this video, Yaroslav talks about the biggest moral challenges faced by combat medics on the front lines and what keeps their spirits up while saving lives from an enemy bent on total destruction.

Since the full-scale invasion began, supporting our team and gathering donations has become more challenging as we, like everyone else in Ukraine, focus on fundraising for our defenders. Now, we turn to you—the international community and supporters of Ukraine—to help us continue producing vital stories that not only support Ukraine’s fight against invasion but also remind the world of the value of freedom.
After all this is over, these men and women need us like we need them right now. They will need all the support they can get, we must not abandon them.
