stupidest shit I have ever seen coming from this cursed platform. That you could be banned for upvoting whatever the American Empire-run Reddit deems ‘bad’ is a step in the worst direction but a natural progression for a platform like this. We none Americans must desperately move away from places like this and develop our own alternatives platforms.
This is coming from a country that is now arresting students en masse for protesting. Be warned.
What a joke.
The Party and Benevolent Leaders have deemed you a Threat and Democratically decided to Recondition you
Remember kids, when Chinese sites monitor you for dissent, it is because China is an oppressive hellhole (because the Benevolent Leaders and Their Correct Media told you so) but when We Do It, it is because we care for you and care about The Children.
Just stop upvoting and downvoting things. No engagement on anything.
Reddit’s metrics and algorithm are based on user-engagement. If people just stop interacting with the platform itself, then it starts hitting their wallet.
Consider this your 1st and last warning, Reddit. You are nothing without your users. Continuing to threaten us with arbitrary rules will only quicken your demise.

Luigi really got em shook.
That sentence has been taken down 4 times now. Im trying to say enough, but the rules seem to keep changing. This is weird. 2025 year of tech bro censorship
Honestly, Mods are becoming more and more insufferable, and the admin sucks. Reddit is turning to people who just want to protect their peace and be in an echo chamber.
Ah cool, will it tell us where and why or will we be playing Russian roulette from now on?
>!Typing more stuff here to avoid the automated removal because I can’t be bothered putting more than I already have. Okay, have I passed the limit? Let’s go.!<
> “This will have no impact on the vast majority of users as most already downvote or report abusive content,”
Or to put it bluntly: Most people already conform with [the desired Overton window](https://masspeaceaction.org/the-violence-of-us-information-operations/), but there are still people who refuse to fall in line, so now we have to make them paranoid by introducing self-censorship not only on comments/submissions but literally on *upvotes*.
Which basically puts as much responsibility on the common user, even the average lurker, as on an Reddit mod. Or how is the average user supposed to know what content is deemed “bad” and which is not?
If I see it on Reddit, then my automatic assumption is that it’s okay, otherwise mods would have removed it, right?
But I guess even that assumption is now flawed, and the best course of action is just to downvote everything, or don’t vote at all or you might risk voting in the “wrong” direction on any given topic.
Worlds new banned me for a unsavory comment on that fascist Toddler. Everything is getting worse and this could all have been prevented it that shit didn’t miss a few millimeters

Meanwhile, Reddit will also ban you for reporting content it likes. There’s no win condition for the user here other than not engaging at all.
Good!
This is a way to identify bot users who upvote each other’s content. Frequent reposts by bots are usually removed so it will be possible to spot a pattern of which users consistently und exclusively upvote such reposts.
Of course this also has side effects but at least it can be used to remove bots. I fucking hate bots!
it should be restricted further to calls of violence, doxxing, or similar, making it too broad will probably lead to stupid people deciding what qualifies and doing a poor job at it
They want to use upvotes as a quality metric for AI training. They will purge people that don’t vote “the right way”. I got a temp ban for pointing that someone was a Russian puppet.
Welcome to fascist social media. Good job, Reddit!
Why i feel this is an attempt to shut down pro-Palestine posts? Especially since this was announced by the same admin who took down pro-Palestine content and labeled them as “promtiing terrorism”.
Yesterday, they announced they are taking down pro-Palestine posts, and hours later, they announced that, suspicious isn’t?

I don’t get it. Just delete the offending content, then votes are irrelevant. Why attack this from the bottom? Why rely on voters to know what’s a violation and then moderate their votes? Just delete it. Janky plan.
10 warnings, and you get a citation. And you better watch out because if you get 10 citations…. then you get a reprimand. What happens then? Well, if you get 15 reprimands, then you will have a message asking you to check your email spam folder. Because in there, you’ll find a strongly worded demerit.
I’ve set my reddit account to hide things I’ve voted on. For ten years, I’ve been upvoting things just because I have seen then and do not want to see them again. It has to be particularly terrible for me to downvote it instead of the default upvote.
This is going to impact me just because of the browsing habits reddit has enabled me to have for the last ten years. Nice.
