  1. >When I watched President Zelensky walk out of the White House last Friday, flashing that defiant thumbs-up to reporters, he wasn’t surrendering. He was signaling resistance to a troubling historical pattern. We’ve been here before – not just once, but repeatedly. And the ending is rarely kind to those who placed their faith in American promises.

    >Really think about what’s unfolding: direct talks between Washington and Moscow in Saudi Arabia, without Ukraine at the table; accusations that Ukraine’s government is corrupt or unreasonable; demands for Ukraine to “make peace” while offering vague or limited security assurances. This playbook has been used before, with devastating consequences.

  2. This administration does not care at all about the long-term concerns this article brings up

Understand this: their only motivation is to end the war immediately. They want this because their president wants big, positive news headlines, he wants to Tweet about how quickly he ended the war, he wants to have big rallies where he tells his audience how smart he is and how stupid Biden is. Quite likely, he hopes it will bring him a Nobel prize during his term.

His biggest fear is this war dragging on- because that will hurt his deal-making reputation and delay the plaudits.

    *That is the only motivation*

You cannot understand the current geopolitical moment until you understand the real motivations of this administration. Perception is everything. TV coverage is everything. Strategic thinking, planning, and geopolitics play no role here.

  3. No NATO membership and land transfers back to Ukraine is a damning pattern.

  4. Trump just wants to win the Nobel Peace Prize at any cost, just to feed his pathetic ego. He’ll probably threaten to bomb Stockholm if he doesn’t get it.
