QUINCY (WGEM) – According to the official Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), the government lease for Quincy’s IRS office is set to be canceled.
The website shows that the annual lease for the building is more than $57,000 a year, and closing that office will save more than $234,000.
According to DOGE, the location is part of 748 lease terminations.
There is no word on when the cancelation might go into effect.
