SPENCER, Iowa (KTIV) -The arena at the Clay County Fairgrounds has been transformed for an event that is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat.
“This will be our second year here in Spencer,” said event producer Dillon Swanson. “It is going to be action packed up close and personal with the fans. We’ve got about 45 bull riders each night.”
Bulls and Brews is back, and while the rodeo will be the main event, it isn’t all about the bulls.
“We have half a dozen local craft breweries that will offer tasting from 5 to 7, and those same items will also be available at our bar later on in the evening,” explained Jason Brockshus, Clay County Fair Partnerships Director.
1,400 people will fill the stands for a night of entertainment that everyone can enjoy.
“Bull riding is one of those sports that the more you understand it, the more you appreciate it,” said Swanson. “But at the very surface level of it, it is as entertaining as it is going to get.”
If it’s anything like last year, you can expect non-stop action in an enthusiastic atmosphere.
“When it got loud when they were making a bull ride, we had a hard time hearing the buzzer,” Swanson explained. “If you are into fast pace, high action, high risk kind of stuff, this is where you should be.”
If that sounds like you, there is still time to get in on the action.
“If you are wanting a ticket, your best bet is to get online sooner than later for Friday night,” Brockshus explained. “Which honestly, is already three fourths of the way sold out. Tickets really are going fast.”
